Question 1

How do I get on the list for a puppy?

Accepted Answer

Start with our puppy application. Once it comes in, Kristin personally reads it and reaches out to talk about your family, what you’re looking for, and which upcoming litter may be the best fit. Every family goes through the same application and approval process.

Question 2

When is your next litter?

Accepted Answer

Our next litter is planned for spring 2027, timed to our female’s season. Puppies arrive about two months after breeding and go home at eight weeks. Litter timing is always an estimate, since we can’t control nature. The Whelping Box always has our latest plans.

Question 3

How much does a puppy cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing and deposit details are shared directly with families once their application has been approved.

Question 4

Can I choose my puppy?

Accepted Answer

Puppies are matched to families rather than chosen from photos or by order of deposit. At about seven weeks, each puppy is temperament tested by a registered therapy dog trainer using Volhard aptitude testing, and at about eight weeks each puppy is structurally evaluated. Those results, everything we’ve observed while raising them, and what we know about your lifestyle guide each match.

Question 5

Can I request a colour or sex?

Accepted Answer

You’re welcome to share your preferences on your application, and we do our best to match them. We can never promise a colour or sex before a litter arrives, because we won’t know what’s available until the puppies are born. Our pairings are chosen for the whole dog: health, structure and temperament, not colour alone.

Question 6

Are the parents health tested?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our breeding dogs are health tested through OFA and Embark, and tested dogs carry CHIC numbers. You can view each dog’s results from their profile on our Our Dogs pages.

Question 7

How are your puppies raised?

Accepted Answer

Our puppies are raised inside our home with our family, never in a kennel or garage. They’re exposed to everyday household sounds, visitors, stairs and different floor surfaces, and follow Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Puppy Culture, daily enrichment and age-appropriate socialization. They’re litter trained young and groomed regularly from a very early age. Learn more about our breeding practices.

Question 8

What comes home with my puppy?

Accepted Answer

Every puppy goes home with CKC registration, a microchip, a vet exam, age-appropriate vaccines, an extensive puppy pack, 30 days of pet insurance, and our grooming and feeding guidelines.

Question 9

Do your puppies come with a health guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every companion puppy goes home with a written contract that includes a lifetime genetic health guarantee. The full terms are reviewed with each approved family before go-home day.

Question 10

Are puppies sold with breeding rights?

Accepted Answer

Companion puppies go home on a non-breeding contract with a spay or neuter agreement. Show and breeding homes are considered personally, on a case-by-case basis.

Question 11

How old are puppies when they go home?

Accepted Answer

Puppies go home at eight weeks of age, after their vet exam and first vaccines.

Question 12

Do you offer support after my puppy goes home?

Accepted Answer

Always. We’re here for advice and questions for your dog’s entire life. If your circumstances ever change, we ask that you contact us first.

Question 13

Where are you located?

Accepted Answer

We’re in northwest Calgary, Alberta. You’ll find our address and directions on our Contact page.
