A responsible breeder will register their dogs and litters with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). This ensures purebred integrity, accurate records, and gives families peace of mind that their puppy comes from authentic bloodlines.

At Diamond Class Poodles, every dog and litter is CKC registered.

Comprehensive Health Testing

Ethical breeding means prioritizing health above all else. This includes OFA testing for hips, elbows, and eyes, as well as genetic screening for breed-specific conditions. Puppies should also be backed by a written health guarantee.

Every sire and dam in our program is thoroughly health tested, with results publicly available on our website.

Active Involvement & CKC Standards

An ethical breeder is not only breeding dogs — they are actively involved with their dogs through conformation shows, performance, or other meaningful activities. The goal is always to improve the breed while adhering to CKC standards of proper structure, colour, and temperament.
